Our first event was an incredible success, produced by the students, parents and teachers of Beverly Hills High School. Once again the team is back for yet another extraordinary event.

We are proud to announce CAROLINA LIAR performing May 3rd at the 2009 VSCF Special Event. CAROLINA LIAR is also the recipient of the 2009 Responsible Artist Award.

We are also excited to introduce one of music’s hottest new emerging talents, JESSARAE, a gifted 13-year old singer/songwriter who will kick-off the event.

The evening will also be filled with the excitement of a live auction and fashion show, with the return of our professional auctioneer Tony Magnemi; designers Linda Stokes (TuTu CUTE) and Sterling for AFAR.

Joining us for the first time: Claire’s Collection, WeWe, Rachel (student of BHHS) and Toms Shoes.

The Foundation is honored to present for the first time the “Responsible Artist Award” (RAA), which gives recognition to an artist that lives an exemplary lifestyle and is a role model for our young generation. In today’s tabloid-filled media world that seems to focus on the wrongdoings of today’s stars, we feel it is appropriate to recognize artists that truly set a good example for our youth.
Mayor of Beverly Hills, Honorable Nancy Krasne will present the 2009 RAA.

The evening will also include a special video clip of Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice, addressing the issues of drunk driving in our society.

We are also excited to have as M.C.’s for the evening such talent as Ryhon Nicole Brown (Lincoln Heights), Kimberly Caldwell (American Idol) and Denzel Whitaker (The Great Debaters, Bad Lieutenant, Facewalker, 25/8, Dadnapped).

Vahagn Setian was a much loved Beverly Hills High School junior, who was killed in a senseless drunk driving tragedy, where he was a passenger in a vehicle that was driven by an irresponsible adult who was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
